Ok here's the deal, World of Warcraft is the biggest and best selling MMORPG in the market, it claims to have over 10 million subscribers world wide, the storyline has lasted 15 years over many games, novels and comics. The Burning Crusade sold 2.4 Million copies in its first day and with the 2nd expansion coming up for release in just over a month. I have set my self the challenge of levelling a whole new character just in time for Wrath of the Lich King. I will however be using the Recruit-A-Friend program to get to level 70.
I will update you after the end of each day with a screenshot of my level and my played time.

I started my challenge 3 days ago so the first shot i have is at level 36.

This seems to be pretty cool but its only a good idea if you are planning on staying in a Guild that is stable or that you know wont disband so you wont have wasted your money.

The system will start with around 500 achievements to collect from all types of content such as, PvP, PvE, Exploration, Levelling and Professions. Just like Xbox Live, certain achievements will count for more points than others do. Some achievements give rewards, but not gear or weapons. Maybe a mount, tabard or new hairstyle?
Some achievements have been announced such as; "Win 10 ranked arena matches in a row" or "Kill 50 enemy players in your capital city".
I'm sure this will make the game have a new type of competitive element within guilds or other communities.

I was browsing around Play.com looking for some kind of video game figure to stand next to King Leonidas on my shelf when I found this awesome looking Talking Murloc Plushie from WoW. It apparently makes the murloc noise when you squeeze it. The price is a bit steep at £24.99 but im sure it would look cool in your room or next to your PC.

[Update: It was Diablo III - Source]
Blizzard is holding the annual Worldwide Invitational this weekend in Paris, and they have said to the fans that they will be announcing something big during the weekend.
Fans are speculating that this has something to do with the upcoming expansion to World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, others think it has something to do with StarCraft 2. However, the thing people are saying most is that they think Blizzard will announce the third Diablo game.
If you go to Blizzard’s home page, you will see a screen with this picture on it:
This is the latest picture that has been changing in the past week. If you look closer at the picture you can see that it has 4 runes in each corner. Three of the runes have been identified by fans. The top left rune is a Protoss symbol from StarCraft. The far left rune has been identified as a Frostmourne rune or a Shael rune depending on who you ask. The upper right symbol has been identified as a Hel rune from Diablo 2. The 4th rune is just a symbol of some kind of solar system. There is also a pair of eyes in the middle of the picture people are saying this is either the Lich King or Diablo.
Another hint at Diablo 3 comes from the artwork for WWI (Pictured below). The fire coming from the hand of Diablo looks a lot like a number 3 which could be a hidden clue from Blizzard as to a possible sequel.
My opinion on the whole thing is that there will be relatively big news on all 3 of Blizzard’s games. Maybe a more official window of release for WOW: WOTLK or some more details of the progress of StarCraft 2 and also the announcement of Diablo 3.
I will keep you all informed on all the news over the weekend.

Ever get tired of drinking the same old energy drinks or that really nasty coffee you make just to stay awake? Well looking around on the Internet I have found the perfect soloution, for just $20(£10) you can get your hands on 6 small Mana Energy Potions. Each Potion contains 160 mg of caffeine which is about 2 cans of Red Bull.
These things would be awesome for those late night raids or those LAN parties. But on the downside you will have to pay for shipping. Find out more at ThinkGeek.
