The final playable character in the Marvel Ultimate Allliance 2 roster has been announced, and X-Men fans are sure to appreciate the addition. It's the one and only Bobby Drake, better known to the world at large as Iceman.

A founding member of the original X-Men, Iceman has featured prominently in both the previous Ultimate Alliance, as well as in the X-Men Legends games, so his addition to MUA2 is hardly a surprise, but it sure is good news.

With this last addition, the initial roster (new characters are sure to turn up as DLC sooner or later) stands as follows:
Captain America
Daredevil
Deadpool
Green Goblin
Hulk

Luke Cage
Mister Fantastic
Ms. Marvel

by Joey Núñez
15.8.09

It's official: Ms. Marvel will be back to fight the good fight in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Activision has announced that the superpowered female powerhouse will be a playable character in the upcoming title, set to hit stores on September 15th.

Even though Ms. Marvel has been around since the 1960's, the character has just recently seen in a new surge in her popularity, due to prominent roles in epic story arcs such as "House of M" and "Civil War", not to mention a top spot in Marvel's ever popular Avengers team.

In the original game Ms. Marvel proved to be a balanced character, with the ability to fly, super strength and painful energy blasts all working in her favor. With all of those features being amped up for the sequel, plus a graphical overhaul promising to make her...uhm... revealing costume, even more, well, revealing, she's sure to be a favorite with the fans.

With this new character addition, there is only one slot left open in the character section of the games official page. Once the full roster is revealed we'll let you dedicated readers know exactly which of your favorite marvel characters will be invading your console of choice in September.

Marvel Heroes strike back, come September 15th
by Joey Núñez
24.7.09
Marvel fans of the world rejoice, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 has finally been given an official release date. Activision has confirmed that the game will hit store shelves on September 15th, 2009.

As any true Marvel fan gamer would know, the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance was an action RPG game developed by Activision back in 2006, which followed in the vein of the X-Men Legends Games, allowing you to mix and match an inmense cast of Marvel characters and form any 4 member team your imagination could come up with.

The sequel offers more of the same Marvel goodness, with its epic story focusing on the Marvel Civil War, a massive crossover event which changed the face of the Marvel Universe back in 2007, as heroes faced off against heroes over a registration act which would legally require all supers to reveal their identities to the US Government.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 will bring back old favorites as well as new characters, including a cameo by the man himself, Stan Lee. Expect the game to arrive on the PS3, 360, PSP, DS, Wii and PS2 come September.

We'll keep you posted on new info on the game as it becomes available. Until then, Excelsior True Believers!
