PSP and PS3 to allow Processor Sharing?

It's amazing the things you learn on forums. According to many sources - not all unheard of - the latest addition to the PlayStation family's functionality may be the addition of processor sharing. Sony are attempting to extend the PS3 and PSP relationship further than it's current affair in the coming months, the sources hint.

Processor sharing will allow PS3 games to be played via Remote Play on a PSP system; while the PS3 runs the game and handles the data on it's internal processors, the video and audio will be streamed via the internet to your PSP system. This also works the other way round, so soon you'll be playing your PSP faves on your HDTV.

Whether this is the truth or another wild rumour, we're yet to find out. If all goes well, however, you could be playing LittleBigPlanet on your PSP by the end of the year.
